AS Kigali have continued to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2026/27 season with the signings of Fidele Mahoro, Charles Mutsinzi and Hussein Desailly Nsabimana. Nsabimana joins from Etincelles FC on a long-term contract running until June 2028, while Mahoro arrives from Sunrise FC on a two-year deal. Mutsinzi also joins as the Citizens continue their squad rebuild. The trio adds to a growing list of new arrivals, including Aimable Ntarindwa, Nigerian forward Daniel Ikapo Kalu, Alexandre Munyemana, Emmanuel Niyigena and Hoziana Kenedy, as the club seeks to strengthen competition across all areas of the pitch. AS Kigali have also retained the services of experienced players Saidi Uwiduhaye, Tharcisse Nshimiyimana, Pascal Kanuma and Patient Ndikuriyo by extending their contracts ahead of the new campaign. The revamped squad will be led by newly appointed head coach Justin Bisengimana, who recently signed a two-year contract after leaving Gicumbi FC. Bisengimana takes over at a crucial time as AS Kigali look to bounce back from a difficult 2025/26 season, during which management challenges affected performances. Despite the setbacks, the club managed to preserve its top-flight status. Meanwhile, Police FC are also active in the transfer market as they prepare for the new season. The law-enforcers are reportedly planning to sign six foreign players, with former APR FC striker Victor Mbaoma among their top targets. The Nigerian forward, who currently plays for Remo Stars, enjoyed an impressive campaign, scoring 14 league goals. Sources indicate that negotiations are at an advanced stage, with only a few details remaining before the deal can be completed. If the move goes through, Mbaoma will make a return to the Rwanda Premier League after his previous spell with APR FC.
