Offensively, I can score from all levels, the three, the midrange, the paint and the ability to handle the ball and make plays for my teammates,” he said. Twa added that although his preferred position is small forward, he is flexible enough to operate effectively as a power forward or even at centre when required. “I love defence, I take pride in guarding multiple positions, rebounding, and bringing a strong energy every possession. Having played at different levels, I understand what it takes to compete and win. I bring professionalism, a team-first mentality, and a willingness to do whatever the coaching staff needs of me,” he noted. “My goal is to help RSSB Tigers compete for championships, represent Rwanda at the highest level, and continue growing as a player every day,” he added. The Tigers are now preparing to continue their campaign in the domestic league, where they will face strong competition from traditional powerhouses including APR, Rwanda Energy Group (REG), and the Patriots. In September, following their BAL championship success, the RSSB Tigers will represent Africa at the FIBA Intercontinental Cup in Singapore. At the Intercontinental Cup, they will compete against top-tier clubs from different regions, including teams linked to the NBA G League, as well as representatives from Europe, the Americas, and Asia. The FIBA Intercontinental Cup is an annual global basketball competition recognised as the official club world championship. Organised by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), it brings together champion clubs from different continents to compete for global supremacy. The tournament typically features six teams representing major basketball regions. Europe is represented by the champions of the Basketball Champions League (BCL), while the Americas are represented by the champions of the BCL Americas. From Africa, the winners of the BAL take part, while Asia is represented by BCL Asia champions. Oceania is usually represented by the champions of Australia and New Zealand’s National Basketball League (NBL), while North America may be represented by a select NBA G League team or champion.
