Rwandan musician King James has sold out his August 1 concert at BK Arena just three days after tickets went on sale online. The New Times understands that more than 1,400 tickets had already been secured during the pre-sale phase, before Intore Entertainment—the event’s promoter—released the remaining tickets to the public on May 2. The New Times has also learned that both the promoter and the artiste are exploring a possibility to add a second show on August 2 to accommodate the surge in demand. Meanwhile, many fans who missed out on tickets have taken to social media to express their disappointment, with some urging organizers to add another date or expand the venue’s capacity to meet demand.
