The RSSB Tigers will face Morocco’s FUS Rabat in the quarterfinals of the Basketball Africa League (BAL) playoffs, set for May 22-31 at BK Arena in Kigali. Following the conference stage, eight teams qualified for the playoffs and will travel to Kigali for the knockout phase. The quarterfinal matchups are based on seeding, with top-performing teams facing lower-ranked sides. Angola’s Petro de Luanda leads the standings, followed by Egypt’s Al Ahly, with RSSB Tigers placed third. The playoff format pairs teams as 1 vs 8, 2 vs 7, 3 vs 6, and 4 vs 5. The quarterfinals will be played over two games, with aggregate scores deciding who advances to the semifinals. RSSB Tigers and FUS Rabat will therefore meet twice, with the winner progressing. We’ve received a lot of support from the Ministry of Sports, the federation, RSSB, and the country,” he said.
