Saturday, April 25 Mukura VS 0-3 APR FC Al Hilal SC 2-0 Musanze FC AS Muhanga 1-2 Gorilla FC Second half goals from Djibril Ouattara, Hakim Kiwanuka and Alex Nduwayo helped APR FC secure a convincing 3-0 victory over Mukura VS at Kamena Stadium on Saturday to stay in pole position in the BK Pro League title race. The win increased the army side’s hopes winning what would be their seventh straight league title after opening an 11-point league between them and second-placed Rayon Sports who are also visiting Amagaju FC at Kamena Stadium on Sunday. Ouattara opened the scoring in the 51st minute before Kiwanuka doubled the lead five minutes later. Nduwayo sealed the win with a third goal in the 63rd minute, completing a dominant second-half display. With the defeat, Mukura VS remain in seventh place on the table with 41 points. Meanwhile, Al Hilal maintained their six-point lead at the top following a 2-0 win over Musanze FC at Kigali Pele Stadium courtesy of a brace from Nigerian forward Sunday Adetunji. Adetunji has been in outstanding form, consistently delivering crucial goals for Al Hilal, including a recent match-winner against Rutsiro FC. Elsewhere, Gorilla FC edged AS Muhanga 2-1 at Muhanga Stadium while Gicumbi FC boosted their survival hopes with a 2-0 victory over Rutsiro FC at Kigali Pele Stadium who now find themselves at risk of relegation. Gicumbi wrapped up the result in the first half, with Jean Pierre Rubuguza opening the scoring in the fifth minute before Clement Bahati added a second in the 36th minute. Rutsiro’s difficult season continued as they failed to secure vital points in their fight against relegation. In another fixture, AS Kigali and Gasogi United played out a goalless draw at Kigali Pele Stadium on Friday. Gicumbi FC now sit 11th with 32 points, followed by Gasogi United in 12th place with 30 points and AS Kigali in 13th place with 29 points. Rutsiro FC remain in 17th position with 22 points.
