President Kagame on Wednesday, April 15, arrived at Maya-Maya International Airport in Brazzaville where he was received by Prime Minister Anatole Collinet Makosso of the Republic of Congo. The presidential inauguration ceremony will be held at Unity Stadium (La Concorde Multipurpose Sports Complex) in Kintélé. Sassou-Nguesso reciprocated the visit in July 2023, when Kagame awarded the Congolese leader with the National Order of Honour (Agaciro) medal for exceptional leadership and dedication to building a more stable and prosperous Africa. Rwanda and the Republic of Congo enjoy a longstanding partnership and strong bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors, including trade, security, agriculture and land management.
