Kigali, Rwanda – March 17, 2026 —Women for Women Rwanda (WfW-R) will host its Impact Gala on March 18, 2026, at Mövenpick Hotel in Kigali, bringing together partners, supporters, and friends of the organisation to celebrate the strength and achievements of the women we serve across the country. The gala is the centrepiece of WfW-R’s Women’s Month campaign, “Discover Her,” which runs under Rwanda’s national theme, “Preserving the Dignity Regained.” The campaign focuses on the journeys of women who, through the organisation’s programmes, have rebuilt their confidence and taken control of their own futures. “When we named this campaign ‘Discover Her,’ we simply mean recognising the woman who has always been there, with her potential, simply waiting for the space, support, and opportunity to step forward and shape her own future,” said Berna Rusagara, Executive Director – WfW-R. Guests will hear personal testimonies from women in WfW-R’s programmes and view a photo exhibition documenting their stories from across the country. The evening will also feature a fundraising raffle, with prizes from various sponsors. Proceeds go directly toward supporting women in the programmes. “Preserving the Dignity Regained resonates with us because dignity is not something we give women. They come with it. What the programme does is create the conditions where they can act on it again financially, socially, and in their own homes. That is what a stronger nation is actually built from,” Rusagara stated. The evening will also be a moment to recognise the partners and supporters who walk this journey with them, and raise awareness for support that equips them with the skills, confidence, and opportunities needed to build stronger and more independent futures. About Women for Women Rwanda Women for Women Rwanda works to support women and girls to break the cycle of poverty and social exclusion by providing life skills training, economic empowerment, and opportunities to build sustainable livelihoods. Through this work, over 80,000 women and girls have gained the confidence, knowledge, and support needed to transform their families and communities. Its flagship programme, Stronger Women, Stronger Nation, equips women with life skills, financial literacy, and knowledge of their rights, while helping them build sustainable sources of income. The organisation’s support extends beyond the core programme through complementary initiatives such as Abadacogora, which supports adolescent girls aged 16–17, and Men Engage, which brings men on board as allies in women’s empowerment. This work includes initiatives such as Couples’ Dialogue and caregiving discussions that encourage shared responsibility, mutual respect, and stronger families. These programmes help build confident women, stronger families, and more resilient communities across Rwanda.
