Friday, March 13 Patriots 85-78 REG Kepler 99-46 Inspired Generation Point guard Damaria Franklin scored a team-high 30 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Patriots BBC to an 85–78 victory over Rwanda Energy Group (REG) BBC on Friday night at Petit Stade. The two basketball heavyweights were meeting for the first time in the Rwanda Basketball League this season. Coached by Sunny Niyomugabo, Patriots started strongly, taking a 27–20 lead at the end of the first quarter. Their dominance continued in the second quarter, which they won 20–13, heading into halftime with a comfortable 47–33 advantage. REG attempted a comeback in the third quarter, winning it 21–14 to reduce the deficit to just seven points. However, their efforts fell short as the final quarter ended 24–24, allowing Patriots to secure the win. The victory moves Patriots to fourth place with 11 points, having recorded four wins in seven games. Besides Franklin’s impressive performance, Jeffery Tyrone Stubbs and Sage Kwizera contributed 30 points and 11 points respectively for Patriots. For REG, American point guard Cole Elliot Lamar scored 20 points, while power forward Frank Kamndoh added 15 points. The duo both played for Patriots during the 2025 season. In another game, Kepler BBC recorded a dominant 99–46 victory over Inspired Generation BBC. At the top of the standings, APR BBC lead the table with 13 points, one point ahead of REG, while RSSB Tigers BBC sit in third place with 11 points.
