Rwanda’s women’s sitting volleyball national team has been drawn in Group A of the 2026 Women’s Sitting Volleyball World Championship, scheduled to take place from July 10 to 17 in Hangzhou, China. Rwanda will face hosts China, Iran and regional rivals Kenya in the group stage. This will mark Rwanda’s third consecutive appearance at the global tournament after the team secured qualification by defeating Kenya during the 2025 African Championship. Both Rwanda and Kenya will represent Africa at the world championship. Rwanda booked their ticket to the global event after winning the continental championship by claiming the first three games of the final series, securing a record-extending fourth African title.
