RELATIONSHIPS : Should how and where you meet matter?

When you meet couples for the first time, chances are that it won’t be long before you find yourself asking them how they met. “How did you guys meet?” is a question most people ask but does it matter so much? Should where we meet and how be a key issue to our relationship? I think it is the matter of the heart that determines what our fate is. I have heard this kind of talk from friends, they never say anything positive about me having met my boyfriend in club but I don’t think all this matters at all so long as we love each other. It happened so, that when I saw him, he swept me off my feet I feel in love head over heels it was love at first sight, I thought we could take the relationship to another step, I could not let this chance slip out of my hands so I gave it a try but my friends do not think it is fine. They ask me how sure I am that he will not pick on other girls from club the same way but he has been a good guy that I cant even think of that. While to women the place where they meet with their partners matter so much that they spend a lot of time thinking about those places they would not wish to find a guy, it is not some thing you ought to have too much time pondering about. May be it is the way people look at it but it surely does not matter where you meet a guy because the place does not change any thing about who he is. You can meet your dream partner any where at any time, it could be at a party or in a taxi on your way home.Much as we must admit that some places are not so romantic when it comes to meeting, and yet some other places attract crowds looking for quick people to hook up with for some casual fun it does not change any thing about your partner. Some times it becomes so embarrassing for couples to ever talk about how they met maybe because they met in a ‘wrong place’ but it does not mean this is supposed to pose a problem to the relationship. At times it becomes a nightmare to the married, that every time this kind of subject comes up it definitely brings controversy because at the end of the day one party gets ashamed of the whole fact. It is a very wrong assumption that every person seated in a bar has probably gone there to find some one they can have a quick relationship with- no; not every one there is looking for a casual hook up may be some people there are in for some thing serious. That guy you found at a bar the day could have come to hang out with his friends just like you with your girlfriends but not to find quick hook ups. So dear friend do not place too much importance on where you found that special person, break the stereotype of a person’s character depends on where you met because this is not true at all. laura2jos@yahoo.com
