The match will be played at the Municipal Stadium in Berkane. Al Hilal travelled to Morocco on Thursday morning aboard a charter plane. Head coach Laurentiu Reghecampf opted for an early trip to allow the team time to acclimatise and prepare for the demanding tie. Fofana, one of the experienced players in the squad with a career that has included spells in European football, said the team is determined to secure a positive result away from home. “We are determined to try and get a good result in this first leg, and that is why we made the early trip,” Fofana said. He acknowledged that the Moroccan side will pose a serious challenge but expressed confidence in Al Hilal’s ability to compete. “It will be a tough and tactical game. We need to be at our best both in defence and attack as a team,” he added. Al Hilal topped Group C with 11 points after registering three wins, two draws and one defeat to reach the quarterfinals. RS Berkane finished second in Group A with 10 points behind reigning champions Pyramids FC. The return leg will be played on March 22 at Amahoro Stadium in Kigali. Al Hilal currently compete in the Rwanda Premier League due to the ongoing political instability in Sudan.
