Gasoline prices remain unchanged in latest fuel review

Rwanda Utilities Regulatory Authority (RURA) has maintained the maximum retail price of gasoline (petrol) at Rwf1,989 per litre, effective 6:00 AM on March 5. The revised prices will remain in force for the next two months. ALSO READ: Govt moves to cushion local fuel market amid Iran conflict According to the regulator, the pump prices are set at Rwf1,989 per litre for gasoline (petrol) and Rwf1,948 per litre for diesel, a slight increase from Rwf1900 during that review. The announcement comes amid concerns over rising global commodity prices, with fuel and other imported goods facing upward pressure due to ongoing geopolitical tensions. The new price ceiling is in effect through early May 2026. RURA conducts fuel price reviews on a bi-monthly basis.
