The commanding win kept the army side unbeaten in the Rwanda Basketball League this season. New signing Teafale Lenard Jr matched Mpoyo’s 15-point contribution, while star small forward Dieudonné Ndizeye added 14 points to seal another dominant performance for the reigning champions. APR came out firing, taking the opening quarter 26–17. Kepler responded in the second period, edging it 17–15 to trim the deficit and head into halftime trailing 41–34. After the break, APR reasserted control, winning the third quarter 19–10 before sealing the contest with a 23–18 advantage in the final period. The result lifted APR to second place on the standings with eight points. Elsewhere, East African University Rwanda stunned Patriots 106–104 in a thrilling encounter, while RSSB Tigers overwhelmed AZOMCO 100–61. League action resumes Sunday, March 1, with Inspire Generation facing United Generation Basketball, while APR take on RSSB Tigers in the headline clash of the weekend. Both fixtures will be played at BK Arena.
