The Tour du Rwanda 2026, arguably Africa’s premier professional cycling race, is underway through March 1, bringing together riders from 18 teams across the globe — including Brazil — for a week of elite competition on Rwanda’s famed hills. But beyond the peloton battles, the race is also delivering high-energy entertainment across host cities, thanks to after-parties powered by Amstel, the golden sponsor of this year’s edition. If you’re unfamiliar with the town, start at the Huye Bus Station — the main transport hub linking Kigali, Muhanga and Nyanza — located near the Ethnographic Museum and Huye Stadium. From there, head along the RN1 toward the town centre. Nova Lounge sits within the busy commercial area near landmarks such as the University of Rwanda’s Huye Campus, easily accessible by foot or moto taxi. The DJ lineup includes DJ Lou, DJ Tyga, DJ Inno, DJ Alisha, DJ Assouman (Tanzania) and DJ Khizzbeat (Uganda), promising a blend of regional and international sounds. Rubavu – February 25 Following Stage Four from Karongi to Rubavu, the entertainment shifts to Lakeside Bar, near Rubavu Public Beach on the shores of Lake Kivu. A popular hangout spot for locals and visitors alike, the venue offers scenic lake views and a lively nightlife atmosphere. From the beach area, guests can walk or take a short moto ride along Avenue de la Production toward the town centre to reach the venue. Musanze – February 27 After Stage Six from Rubavu to Musanze, the celebrations continue at The Luna Lounge and Club in Musanze District — the gateway to Volcanoes National Park. Musanze Public Bus Park is the easiest reference point. From there, a short ride toward the central entertainment district leads to The Luna, surrounded by cafés, bars and nightlife spots. Kigali – February 28 The entertainment tour wraps up in Kigali after Stage Seven from Musanze to the capital. The final after-party will be hosted at Copenhagen Lounge in Kicukiro, closing out a week that blends world-class cycling with Rwanda’s growing nightlife scene. As riders battle for the yellow jersey, fans across Huye, Rubavu, Musanze and Kigali can expect the race experience to continue long after the finish line — where cycling meets celebration.
