APR, who finished third at BAL 2025 — the best-ever result by a Rwandan team in the competition — will be hoping the American’s arrival strengthens their push for an even better finish in 2026. Born in Snyder, Texas, Lenard Jr began his professional career with the Texas Legends in the NBA G League during the 2023–24 season. Across two seasons with the club, he averaged 10.2 points and 3.9 rebounds per game. He later joined MBB for the 2025 BAL campaign, where he delivered standout performances, including a career-high 39 points in a loss to Al Ahli in the Nile Conference held in Kigali. Lenard Jr finished the 2025 season as the league’s top scorer, averaging 22.7 points per game. He also led the league in steals (3.5 per game) while contributing 7.3 rebounds and 2.7 blocks per game. His performances earned him selection to the All-BAL 2025 Second Team and the All-Defensive First Team.
