SC Kiyovu missed the chance to close the gap at the top of the Rwanda Premier League table after Denis Omedi’s stunning long-range effort earned APR FC a dramatic 1–1 draw on Saturday, February 14, at Amahoro Stadium. The match appeared destined for a stalemate until new signing Abdalah Aziz Harerimana broke the deadlock in the 81st minute, giving Kiyovu hope of a crucial win. However, Omedi struck in stoppage time to rescue a point for APR. The draw extends APR’s winless run to four matches. They remain second on 38 points, trailing league leaders Al Hilal on goal difference, although Al Hilal have played two games fewer. Kiyovu sit fifth with 32 points. APR will look to return to winning ways when they host Police FC on Friday, February 20. Elsewhere, Bugesera FC claimed a 3–1 victory over Gorilla FC, while Marine FC and Gicumbi FC settled for a 1–1 draw.
