APR Women’s Volleyball Club middle blocker Donatha Musabyemariya has completed a two-year move to Police Women Volleyball Club (WVC) after her contract with the army side expired on February 9. Police confirmed the transfer through their media office, with Communications Officer Isaac Rabbin Imani stating that the club views the signing as a strategic reinforcement. “Musabyemariya is an experienced middle blocker with proven quality at both domestic and regional level. We believe she will add depth and stability to our squad,” Imani said. According to league regulations, a player cannot represent two different clubs in the same campaign. However, she will be eligible to compete in open tournaments once the league concludes. The move sees her reunite with former APR teammate Flavia Dusabe, who also recently joined the Kacyiru-based side. Their partnership is expected to strengthen Police’s middle-blocking department as the club eyes domestic and regional success. Musabyemariya departs APR after playing a pivotal role in several of the club’s recent triumphs. Known for her timing, physical presence, and strong net defence, she was instrumental in APR’s success in high-stakes encounters. In that match, she delivered a dominant performance at the net. During the third set, she blocked Sande Meldina six times, swinging the momentum in APR’s favour. She maintained her influence in the fourth set with crucial blocks that disrupted Police’s attacking rhythm.
