Rwanda National Police SWAT Team I emerged sixth in the UAE SWAT Challenge, which concluded on Wednesday, February 11, in Dubai. The elite Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) games started on Saturday. Three Rwandan teams participating in the games that attracted 109 teams from around the world. ALSO READ: How Rwandan teams are faring at UAE SWAT Challenge According to the final results, Two Kazakh teams secured first and second places, followed by two Chinese teams in third and fourth places. Fifth came a Thai police team, and then RNP SWAT Team I in sixth place. This is the team's highest finish. RNP SWAT Team I also came third in Obstacle Course Challenge, behind a Kazakh team and a Chinese one. RNP SWAT Team II secured the 29th place, while the Rwanda Defence Force Special Operations Force Team came 37th. Previous performance Rwanda has participated in six out of seven editions of the UAE SWAT Challenge, which began in 2019. In the 2025 edition, RNP SWAT Team I finished in the 11th place, with 407 points. RNP SWAT Team II came 18th with 357 points.
