Renowned Rwandan gospel musician Prosper Nkomezi has announced his first-ever visit to Israel, where he will perform live concerts from February 16 to 21 in Tel Aviv. “It is a visit to Israel where I will go to learn more about the history of Jesus and see places such as the tomb of Jesus, Jericho Road, Mount of Olives, Garden of Gethsemane, and other biblical sites, after which we will hold the concerts,” Nkomezi told The New Times. The invitation came from Rwandan, Ugandan, and Congolese communities living in Israel, who requested him to worship alongside them. Nkomezi will become just the second Rwandan gospel singer to perform in Israel, following Israel Mbonyi, who held a mega concert at Mount Carmel four years ago alongside Israeli singer Avraham Tal. Born in 1995, Nkomezi launched his career in 2017 and has since become one of Rwanda’s most celebrated gospel voices, known for music that blends inspiration with clear faith-based themes. The announcement of live concert in Israel comes just weeks after Nkomezi proposed to his fiancée, Retina Nkurunziza, during an intimate lakeside moment.
