Mukura VS held Rayon Sports to a 1–1 draw in the 17th round of the Rwanda Premier League at Muhanga Stadium. Emery Bayisenge rescued a point for the visitors, cancelling out Mukura’s lead early in the second half. Mukura VS dominated the opening 20 minutes as they pushed to break the deadlock. Elie Tatou Iradukunda came close with a long-range effort that sailed just over the crossbar. Rayon Sports responded through Asman Ndikumana, whose powerful strike was well saved by Mukura goalkeeper Nicolas Sebwato. After the break, both sides looked for an early breakthrough, and it was Mukura who struck first. Iradukunda opened the scoring with a well-taken free kick. However, the hosts’ celebrations were short-lived as Rayon Sports equalized shortly after, with Bayisenge heading home. Both teams continued to press for a winner. Mukura earned another free kick, but Olivier Kwizera denied Iradukunda by clearing his effort. Following the draw, Mukura VS remain sixth on the table with 27 points, while Rayon Sports move into seventh place with 26 points.
