Rayon Sports captain Ally Serumogo has left the club after agreeing to join South Sudanese side El-Merrikh Bentiu on a two-year contract. The Rwandan defender departed Kigali International Airport for Juba in the early hours of Sunday, January 18, at 3:00 am aboard Kenya Airways, where he is expected to complete the move. Serumogo’s final appearance for Rayon Sports came in difficult circumstances, as the Blues suffered a heavy 4–0 defeat to Al Hilal on Saturday, January 17, in a Rwandan Premier League match played at Amahoro Stadium. He was substituted in the 64th minute by Emmanuel “Kabange” Nshimiyimana. After 2½ years with the club, we bid farewell to Ally SERUMOGO. We thank him for his commitment and wish him every success in the journey ahead.
