APR remained in fourth place with 20 points while Gasogi United remained in fifth place with 19 points. APR enjoyed possession but could not find a goal. They came into the game expecting tough opponents and needed three points to close the gap with top teams. Meanwhile, Mukura beat Marines 6-0 at Umuganda Stadium, thanks to the goals from Patrick Murenzi, Abubakar Gibrin Akuki, Cedric Kubwimana, Ashraf Kamanzi, Innocent Ndizeye and Elie Iradukunda. The heavy loss saw the Rubavu-based Marines remain in the bottom of the table with five points. Marines were forced to defend for large portions of the game, but a disciplined defensive effort reduced their hosts to pot-shots from a distance that rarely troubled their goalie. They continued to search for a consolation goal but failed to score. Mukura have extended their unbeaten run to five matches in the league.
