Midfielder Muhadjri Hakizimana has reached an agreement with Kenyan side Nairobi United FC on a six-month contract. The Rwanda international had been without a club since October after mutually parting ways with Police FC. Although he was initially linked with a move to Rayon Sports, Hakizimana opted to join Nairobi United, where he will reunite with countryman Prince Buregeya. ALSO READ: Why free agent Muhadjiri prefers short-term deal The Nairobi-based club hopes Hakizimana’s experience will strengthen their squad in both the ongoing CAF Confederation Cup and the Kenya Premier League campaigns. Hakizimana confirmed to Times Sport that the deal will run from January 2026. “I have agreed to a six-month contract with them, and I want to give my best and push myself to another level. I believe it is a good move for me,” he said. The midfielder is scheduled to depart for Nairobi on Monday aboard Kenya Airways at 2:50 pm and will begin training with his new teammates on Tuesday. Nairobi United FC currently sit 10th on the Kenya Premier League table with 16 points from 10 matches, trailing league leaders AFC Leopards by 10 points, although Leopards have played three games more. In the CAF Confederation Cup, Nairobi United remain winless in the group stage and sit bottom of Group B with zero points after two matches.
