Five people were killed and nine others injured after a fuel tanker truck was involved in a serious accident in Kicukiro on Monday, December 22. The tanker, which was travelling from Nyanza in Kicukiro towards Kicukiro Centre, rammed into several vehicles, motorcycles and a fuel station. The accident occurred at around 8:40pm. ALSO READ: Two killed in Nyabugogo motorcycle accident “The injured are receiving treatment from different hospitals across the City of Kigali,” Rwanda National Police spokesperson ACP Boniface Rutikanga told The New Times on Tuesday morning. Rutikanga did not specify the number of affected vehicles. He added that investigations are ongoing to establish the cause of the accident.
