Chorale de Kigali, widely regarded as Rwanda’s leading Catholic choir, is set to host its annual Christmas Carols concert in Kigali concert on December 25. The special musical celebration, dedicated to the Christmas season, aims to unite audiences through rich choral harmonies that embody the true spirit of Christmas. Preparations are already underway, with the choir working closely with technical and artistic teams to ensure high-quality sound, refined harmonies, and an exceptional overall production. The concert repertoire will include a carefully curated selection of traditional and contemporary Christmas carols, all delivered with Chorale de Kigali’s distinctive choral identity. According to the choir’s leadership, this year’s edition will differ from previous ones. While the message of Christmas remains central, the choir continues to introduce fresh artistic elements. “Christ is born every year and, as Christians, we believe there is always something new to share,” organisers told The New Times. In a notable change, the choir announced that this year’s concert will take place at the Kigali Conference and Exhibition Village, shifting from BK Arena, which hosted the last two editions. Choir leader Valentin Bigango said the move was intended to create a different ambiance, noting that the ensemble has alternated between the two venues over recent years and felt it was the right time to return to KCEV. Bigango emphasized that Chorale de Kigali is a dynamic and evolving ensemble and promised an unforgettable experience. “I reassure fans that they should expect a unique blend of classic music and fresh artistic touches distinctive to Chorale de Kigali. I invite our loyal supporters—whom we have built a strong relationship with over the years—to attend. I assure them they will not be disappointed,” he said.
