The Rwandan Cycling Federation (FERWACY) has hired David Mugabe as its new Executive Director. Mugabe succeeds François Régis Gahuranyi who recently assumed the same role at Rwanda Basketball Federation (FERWABA). ALSO READ: Gahuranyi appointed Ferwaba new Executive Director His appointment was confirmed in a statement released by FERWACY on Tuesday, December 9. “We are confident that Mugabe will enhance the federation's visibility, professionalism, and talent development,” the statement reads in part. With over 10 years of professional experience in public service and sports administration, Mugabe brings substantial expertise to the federation. He was part of the secretariat that oversaw preparations for the 2025 UCI World RoadChampionships, held in Kigali in September.
