Rwanda Investigation Bureau (RIB) has arrested Jean Paul Twagirayezu, the Director in charge of General Affairs in Nyabihu District, over allegations of illicit enrichment and failure to declare assets to the Office of the Ombudsman. In a statement released on Sunday, 7 December, the bureau said the suspect is being held at the RIB Rwezamenyo Station in Kigali, while the case is being prepared for submission to the Public Prosecution. “Public servants required by law to declare their assets must provide complete and truthful information. Non-compliance is punishable under the law,” RIB warned.
