Airtel Rwanda and CAROUSEL Ltd (INZOZI Lotto), on Tuesday, November 29, launched a partnership that will enable customers to easily play, pay and receive their winnings through Airtel Money. Announced at a joint press conference at the Airtel Money Head Office in Nyabugogo, the partnership provides clients of both INZOZI Lotto and Airtel Money a simpler, instant, and secure mode of payment through Airtel Money. Carousel Ltd. launched Rwanda’s first National Lottery (INZOZI Lotto) in November 2021 in partnership with the Government of Rwanda through the Ministry of Sports, governed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The company is generating financial funding needed to support the sports development programs and sport talents in Rwanda through the INZOZI Lotto. The vision of Carousel Ltd. is to become the biggest sponsor of Rwandan sport talents as they chase their winning dreams and positively impact their economic well-being as well as helping players realize their financial dreams. Speaking at the launch event, Jean-Claude Gaga, Airtel Mobile Commerce Rwanda Ltd Managing Director, said, “We are delighted to launch this new service on our Airtel Money platform and we welcome all customers to enjoy the convenience and simplicity offered by Airtel Money both on the USSD as well as in the My Airtel App. The new service comes on the heels of different ongoing Airtel Money campaigns to name such as Interoperability between Airtel Money and MTN Mobile Money and Free P2P which enables all Airtel Money customers to send and receive any amount of money for FREE. “Interoperability between Airtel Money and MTN momo was recently launched and it gave access to Airtel Money customers the option of sending money to MTN Mobile Money customers and vice versa, Gaga added.
