Ugandan media personality Sheilah Gashumba is taking her entertainment career to new heights as she prepares to officially launch her DJ venture in Rwanda in December. The popular socialite and media influencer, performing under the stage name Lil Stunner, has announced her debut tour in Kigali scheduled for December 25–30 at various venues across the city. Kigali will be among the first to witness Gashumba's sound which is poised to make a global influence in the creative world, her management said. The tour also comes at an exciting time when cross-border collaborations and performances are taking shape with a goal to strengthen cultural ties among East African nations. While the full lineup has not been released, The New Times understands that Gashumba will perform at the forthcoming Spinny and Friends Kigali edition on December 27, before taking her decks to Nuvo, among other venues. From media personality to DJ A familiar face and voice on TV, radio, and digital platforms since she was eight, Gashumba has evolved into one of East Africa's most influential entertainment figures. Known for her fashion-forward style, brand influence, and high-energy hosting at elite events—including her signature Choplife parties—she has established her presence across Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Zambia, the UK, Canada, and Turkey, cementing her versatility and dominance in lifestyle and nightlife entertainment. In 2024, she took her passion further by training at RISE Academy in Johannesburg—one of Africa's premier DJ schools—while juggling her demanding work schedule. There, she honed her skills on both equipment and digital software, transforming her lifelong passion for music into a professional craft. Her sound spans Amapiano, House, Afro-Soul fusion, and archetypal Ugandan rhythms—a genre-bending celebration of her heritage and international taste. The tour will mark her first appearance in Rwanda’s nightlife scene as a performer not host or MC.
