Facts about New Year’s Day

New Year’s Day is on January 1st-- the first day on the calendar. Every country in the world, celebrates New Year’s Day, Rwanda inclusive. This is a day when people remember the past, and hope for wonderful things in the coming year. Thousands of people usually jam the town streets waiting to countdown the seconds that welcome the New Year at midnight. A display of fireworks usually sparks off the celebrations.
