Shiloh Choir, a gospel group under the Pentecostal Church of Rwanda (ADEPR), has become one of the most inspiring choirs in the country’s contemporary Christian music scene. Based at Muhoza Parish in Musanze District, Northern Province, the choir has been serving in the ministry of evangelism through music since its founding on September 3, 2017. Over the years, due to life changes such as studies, work, and marriage, the number of active members has stabilized at 73. Despite the adjustments, Shiloh Choir continues to stand out for its excellence in music and commitment to spreading the gospel. Their debut album, titled Ntukazime that translates ‘Do not go out’, features ten songs, nine of which have already been released. The album’s sound—calm, artistic, and spiritually rich—has earned the choir a growing fanbase across Rwanda and beyond. Some of their best-known songs include Ntukazime, Ibitambo, and Bugingo, all available on their official YouTube channel. The spirit of revival Every year, Shiloh Choir organizes its signature concert known as The Spirit of Revival, first introduced in 2018. The event has since become a powerful platform for worship and renewal. “We named it The Spirit of Revival because we saw many Christians becoming distracted by worldly things while others had fallen spiritually asleep. We felt this generation urgently needs spiritual awakening,” said Joshua Mugisha, the president of Shiloh Choir. They believe that true revival leads to transformed lives—individuals, families, and even nations being positively impacted. “When revival comes, the Kingdom of God expands. People live righteous lives free from sin, and that brings blessings to families and the country,” he added. The event featured guest performances from Shalom Choir (ADEPR Nyarugenge), Prosper Nkomezi, and Ntora Worship Team. It was the seventh edition of The Spirit of Revival but marked the first time the concert was held in Kigali, symbolizing a new milestone in the choir’s journey. “After receiving repeated invitations from churches in Kigali, we prayed and decided to bring our annual concert to the city,” Mugisha said. “Our leaders and church authorities gave us the green light, and we took it as a mission from God.” As anticipated, the concert drew thousands of worshippers from across the city. By 2 p.m., long before the show began, crowds were already filling the venue, with many others following the performances from outside once it reached capacity. Their setlist included fan favorites like Umusaraba, Ntukazime, Matthew 28, Mutima Umenetse, Bugingo, and Love Beyond All Measure. The night grew even more powerful after a sermon from Rev. Isaie Ndayizeye, the Senior Pastor of ADEPR, followed by more songs including Inuma Zaho and Nkuko Imisozi by Hosiana Nyarugenge. Each of our 75 members is filled with happiness because our dreams are becoming reality. We thank God for the victory He promised us—we have seen it with our own eyes,” Mugisha said. “We also thank God for the preparations. Everything went smoothly, and all expenses were fully covered. Above all, we praise Him for the lives that were touched, for those who were spiritually renewed, and for the people who accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Our journey continues—no slowing down. Christ is our source, and He will keep empowering us to do even greater things.” Shiloh Choir is primarily made up of young, talented musicians—many of whom studied at the renowned Nyundo School of Music. With a clear vision and dedication, the choir believes that in the next five years, they will be operating at an international level—spreading not just music, but revival across nations.
