Rwanda’s Radisson Blu Hotel and Kigali Convention Centre (KCC) has been nominated for the first time for the 32nd annual World Travel Awards in the category of World’s Leading Conference Hotel. The awards organised by the World Travel Awards aim to recognise and celebrate excellence across sectors of the global travel and tourism industry. Established in July 2016, Radisson Blu Hotel and Kigali Convention Centre earned its global visibility and recognition through world-class services and facilities that embrace technology and immerse guests in African culture and tradition. Here's what Radisson Blu Kigali has to offer The first and only conference hotel has to date hosted over 4,370 events and more than 1,875,000 guests, earning its footprint on the global stage that led to this year’s first World Leading Conference Hotel nomination. Voting is open to the public until October 26, while the Grand Final Gala is scheduled on December 6 in Bahrain. It is this dedication to service excellence, especially in hosting major global events, that makes us truly deserve this recognition.” Apart from their global nomination, the 5-star conference hotel has secured five wins, including Africa's Leading Conference Hotel 2025, Rwanda's Leading Business Hotel 2025, Rwanda's Leading City Hotel 2025, Rwanda's Leading Conference Hotel 2025, Rwanda's Leading Hotel 2025, and Rwanda's Leading Hotel Suite 2025. The awarding ceremony was held in Tanzania in June this year. In May, Kigali was ranked as the second most popular city for hosting international meetings and events, while Rwanda ranked third by the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA). Radisson Blu Hotel and Convention Centre, Kigali has 18 meeting rooms, a maximum hosting capacity of 6,000 people, 29 guest rooms with 168 superior rooms, and a state-of-the-art auditorium. It was also the third hotel in Sub-Saharan Africa to receive Safehotels Executive Level Certification, awarded by the Swedish-based company Safehotels Alliance AB. The certification signifies the hotel’s full compliance with the most stringent standards in personal safety, building security, fire safety, data security, and health.
