Renowned Rwandan choir, Ambassadors of Christ Choir, has announced their next mission trip to Kenya, where they will perform as guest artistes at a major gospel celebration in Nairobi. The choir will make their next stop in the East African country days after staging another big performance in Kampala, Uganda on September 7. The Kampala concert was hosted by Mwalimu Ssozi Joram, a well-known gospel music director, songwriter, and solo artist. Ambassadors of Christ Choir are no stranger to the Kenyan audience, having previously ministered in several parts of the country over the years. “In 2012, we performed in Awendo West (Sony Sugar), Nyayo Stadium, and later at Naivasha Grounds in 2013. We also ministered at the Kenya International Conference Centre (KICC) and last performed in Kizingo, Mombasa, in 2016,” choir’s Public Relations Officer Gertrude Munyana told The New Times. This time, the Ambassadors of Christ will be ministering in Nairobi under the invitation from the Vocals of Praise choir which will be celebrating their 10th anniversary in gospel music and five years of their ‘Sing to Save a Soul Initiative.’ “We are honored to take part as a guest choir in this powerful outreach that spreads hope, raises cancer awareness, and uplifts communities through music,” said Munyana who added that the choir is deeply moved by the purpose of the event and is eager to support their Kenyan counterparts in this meaningful mission. “The most important part is sharing in the joy of this impactful initiative. The ‘Sing to Save a Soul’ program is a powerful ministry that touches lives across Kenya through music.” “We are also excited to reconnect with our Kenyan audience, especially since our last visit to Mombasa in 2016. We warmly invite all Kenyans to join us as we celebrate this inspiring ministry.” The choir rarely leaves the Kenyan stage without performing fan-favourite gospel songs, like Kwetu Pazuri, a special piece that holds a deep connection with their Kenyan fans. “We cannot leave Kenyan soil without singing Kwetu Pazuri,” she emphasized, acknowledging the support of their Kenyan music audience.
