Sunday Gasogi United 2-2 Rayon Sports Amagaju 0-2 Gicumbi Rayon Sports’ awful start to the new season continued as they failed to beat Gasogi United who held them to a pulsating 2-2 draw at Kigali Pele Stadium on Sunday. The result drew frustration among Blues fans who have started to question Afhamia Lofti's tactics after yet another unimpressive performance three days after losing 1-0 at the hands of Police FC. Rayon Sports started the game a better side as Gloire Tambwe opened the scoring in the fourth minute, sending the ball in the net from the box after Gael Cuzuzo cleared Tony Kitoga's cross from the left. Gasogi United quickly recovered from the early lead and equalized in the 15th minute through Guy Herve Ngono before Kokoete Udo gave them a lead in the 27th minute with a powerful shot from behind the penalty area. Lotfi made changes early in second half, bringing on Mohamed Chelly, Fiston Ishimwe and Abderaziz Harerimana replaced Aimable Ntarindwa, Aziz Bassane and Tony Kitoga respectively to boost midfield which looked shaky in the first half. His substitution made immediate impact for the visitors who pulled the game level in the 53rd minute through Abdelaziz Harerimana who headed home the ball from Paul Sindi's cross from the penalty area. Hakim Hamissi thought he had given Gasogi the match-winner in the 88th minute but fourth referee Emmanuel Habumugisha controversially ruled it for offside. The draw moved Gasogi United to fourth place with five points while Rayon Sports have four points in seventh place. Meanwhile, Amagaju FC lost 2-0 at home to Gicumbi FC at Kamena Stadium.
