Renowned Adventist Choir, Ambassadors of Christ, will join The Way of Hope Choir to its ministry at their upcoming “Road to Impact” concert scheduled for October 26 at Kigali Conference and Exhibition Village (KCEV). Organisers say that the concert will be more than just music but a mission to bring young people, the hopeless, closer to God's presence. The Way of Hope Choir, whose majority of its members are youth, was formed in 2012 and has built its identity around praise, worship, and outreach, with the majority of its members being young people under 30. According to James Mbabarensenge, the Extended Committee Chairperson of the choir, the concert’s primary goal is to heal spiritual wounds, especially among the youth grappling with drug abuse, addiction, and other destructive habits. “We target their hearts. Spiritually, they need to heal. We want to fight drug abuse, addiction, and several habits that are not mannerful. That’s the overall purpose of Road to Impact,” Mbabarensenge explained. He noted that proceeds from the concert will be reinvested into their ministry to expand their impact. Beyond music, he said, the night promises “joyful moments, deliverance, experiencing God’s presence, and reflecting on God’s work in daily life, all while enjoying gospel music and fun. » To spice up the concert’s misssion, the choir invited Ambassadors of Christ choir , one of the country’s most celebrated Adventist choirs, to grace stage and bring their music to lige before hundreds, if not thousands of worshipers expected at the noble event. “Their presence will bring inclusivity and add depth to the event,” he said. “They’re our elders, experienced and supportive. We are young, but their presence adds another layer to the concert.” ALSO READ: Prayer Breakfast: Kagame urges leaders to recommit to their duties The “Road to Impact” concert will not be a one-off event.
