President Paul Kagame and his Azerbaijani counterpart and host, Ilham Aliyev, witnessed the signing of five bilateral agreements between Rwanda and Azerbaijan on Saturday, September 20 The agreements cover agriculture, education, air services, trade, and public service delivery. As part of his three-day visit, which began with his arrival in Baku on Friday, September 19, President Kagame also visited the Alley of Honor, where he laid a wreath on the tomb of Azerbaijan’s National Leader, Heydar Aliyev, and his wife, Zarifa Aliyeva. He later laid a wreath at the Alley of Martyrs, a memorial dedicated to those who lost their lives in Azerbaijan’s struggle for freedom, independence, and territorial integrity.
