Rayon Sports made history to become the first Rwanda women’s team to reach CECAFA Women’s final after eliminating Uganda’s Kampala Queens in the semifinals on penalty shootouts (4-2) after the match had ended goalless. Meanwhile, 2023 champions JKT Queens advanced to the finals after a 4-2 on penalty shootouts victory against home side Kenya Police Bullets in the semifinals. The pair had played out a 1-1 draw in 120 minutes of action.
