Rwanda Development Board (RDB) has announced the immediate suspension of the gaming licence of Kings Bet Ltd, citing repeated violations of the law governing gaming activities and directives issued by RDB. In a statement issued on Monday, August 25, RDB said the company must cease all gaming operations with immediate effect, warning the public not to engage in its games until further notice. Any continued operation after this notice is unlawful and will result in further enforcement measures, including permanent revocation of licence, the statement read. RDB reminds all licensed operators to strictly adhere to the scope of their approved licenses strictly. Any unlicensed or unauthorised activities are illegal and may result in firm enforcement measures, including suspension or revocation of the license, it went on. The regulator reaffirmed its commitment to protecting consumers and the public by safeguarding the integrity of the gambling sector and ensuring compliance with national laws. In July last year, RDB was given the powers to be the national regulator for lottery and gambling.
