The Rwandan government has extended its condolences to the people of Asanteman following the deaths of Nana Konadu Yiadom III, Queen of the Asante Kingdom in Ghana. Nana Ama Konadu Yiadom III, the 14th Queen of the Asante Kingdom, died on August 7, aged 98. ALSO READ: Rwanda condoles with Ghana following death of two ministers in chopper crash “We extend heartfelt condolences to His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asanteman Council, and the people of Asanteman on the passing of Nana Konadu Yiadom III, Queen of the Asante Kingdom,” the High Commission of Rwanda in Ghana said in a post on X. In a statement in August 12, the Manhyia Palace announced a ban on all funerals across Asanteman on Auguat 21, to allow an observation of a one-week celebration of the late Queen. She was the elder sister of the current King, Otumfuo Nana Osei Tutu II, and succeeded her mother, Nana Afia Kobi Serwaa Ampem II, in 2017.
