Rayon Sports are working on plan to either release or loan three foreign players to give room for new signings ahead of the Rwanda Premier League. According to Club president Thadee Twagirayezu, the Blues will send Junior Elenga Kanga, Omar Gning and Souleymane Daffé out on loan after new head coach Lotfi Afahmia said he doesn’t have them in his plans next season. “We are in talks with them, with two options which are to loan them or release them indefinitely. We cannot stay with players who are not fitting in the coach’s plans,” Twagirayezu said. The squad could now be reduced to 26 players down from 35 who were registered during the 2024/ 25 season. Elsewhere, forward Johnson Chidiebere Nwobodo and APR FC have agreed to part ways amicably. The Nigerian forward was reportedly receiving $4,000 (approx. Rwf 5.7 million) per month but APR paid him 6 months on his remaining contract to terminate his contract. In other news, Radjabu Bizumuremyi has agreed to coach Rutsiro FC after his predecessor Moussa Gatera left his role to coach AS Muhanga in the next two next season. “Yes, I have signed a one-year renewable contract, and I want to build a strong team which will be challenge with top clubs” Bizimuremyi said. Previously, Bizumuremyi coached Etincelles, Scandanavia and AS Kigali women football club.
