Rwandan artist Ross Kana is entering a new phase in his career, one marked by independence, fresh music, and some unanswered questions. Fresh from a video shoot in Mombasa, the “Mami” and “Selection” hitmaker landed back in Kigali on July 4, announcing plans to drop a new single titled Molela, produced by Element Eleeh and directed by Gad. The track will mark his first release since parting ways with 1:55 AM Music in May. The generous gesture stunned the local music scene at the time, but no proof of payment has ever surfaced. A 1:55 AM executive later dismissed the claim entirely. Ask him if that boy bought the album,” he said. “Whatever the answer, it’s better coming from him.” Melodie has remained silent on the issue, and until someone speaks up, the story remains a rumor wrapped in ambiguity. In the meantime, Ross Kana is betting on Molela to reset the narrative. “Fans should not expect anything less,” he said. “I’m coming with back-to-back songs.”
