As Rwanda marks 31 years of liberation on July 4, The New Times team spoke to the residents of the City of Kigali to hear their thoughts on the meaning of the national day and what it symbolises. Some of them have seen the country emerge from the ashes of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi to witness the socioeconomic transformation over the past three decades.
