A delegation of students from Nigeria’s National Institute for Security Studies is in Rwanda for a study tour aimed at deepening their understanding of regional security dynamics and drawing lessons from Rwanda’s experience in managing non-state actors, the Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) said on its X post, Tuesday, June 17. The visiting group, according to the RDF, is part of their ongoing Executive Intelligence Management Course. The course focuses on developing high-level security intelligence professionals and senior managers. It is designed to address emerging challenges to national security and development while equipping participants with skills in intelligence gathering, analysis, and management, within the context of national and regional issues. Students from the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) previously visited Rwanda National Police (RNP) to learn on how security has contributed to the development of agriculture in Rwanda.
