Amavubi head coach Adel Amrouche has said that there is a possibility of adding veteran striker Meddie Kagere to his coaching team once he retires from playing. ALSO READ: Amrouche on Kagere’s recall: Football is not about age The 38-year-old forward, currently playing for Namungo FC in Tanzania, recently returned to play for the national team after a two-year break. He played in a friendly match against Algeria and is seen as a valuable influence for the next generation of players. Amrouche believes Kagere can mentor young players, especially strikers. He is someone I plan to bring into the team, and he will be like a strikers’ coach, telling the younger players how he did it,” he said. Kagere has made 60 appearances for Rwanda and scored 15 goals. Born in Kampala in 1986, he began his career at Mbale Heroes and later played for several clubs across East Africa and beyond, including Kiyovu, Rayon Sports, Gor Mahia, and KF Tirana.
