The 2025 Rwanda Mountain Gorilla Rally will take place from July 4 to 6, featuring both local and foreign drivers, including a strong Rwandan participation. The event kicks off at the Kigali Convention Centre and covers 386 km through Gako and Nemba in Bugesera District. Rwanda Automobile Club (RAC) President Christian Gakwaya said preparations are complete, with about 35 cars expected. Fans will also benefit from organised and safe transport to race sites, according to RAC Secretary General Ange François Cyatangabo. The rally is part of the African Rally Championship (ARC), where drivers compete for key points in the title race. Among the top continental drivers who will participate is Kenya’s Carl Tundo and Karan Patel, as well as Uganda’s Yasin Nasser, among others.
