For Mwafurika, the song also reflects the trust and confidence the youth have in the country's leadership, emphasizing the importance of countering negative narratives about Rwanda's achievements, especially in the face of skepticism on social media and other platforms. “Indinzi is a community we deeply cherish, and there is power in what we do, which is why we saw the importance of speaking truthfully about Rwanda's history and contributions,” Yvan Ngenzi said, adding that the song's use of mixed languages aims to reach a broader audience and reinforce the message of national pride. Founded in 2022, Indinzi is a cultural troupe that has quickly established itself as a significant force in Rwanda's artistic landscape. Their performances often blend traditional dance, music, and storytelling, preserving and promoting Rwandan heritage.
