Renowned Anglican preacher Rev. Antoine Rutayisire will be appearing as a guest at the Gen Z Comedy Show tonight at 6 PM at Kigali Conference and Exhibition Village (KCEV), joining a line-up of various guests who have featured on the show in the past. The show, one of Rwanda’s emerging entertainment platforms, has continued to position itself as a favourite bi-weekly stage for young comedy talent. ALSO READ: Gen Z comedy show celebrates two years in mega concert Organised by local comedian Fally Merci, it offers budding comedians an opportunity to showcase their talent. Several performers who started at the Gen Z Comedy Show have since landed professional opportunities in the entertainment industry. Speaking to The New Times about tonight’s edition, Fally Merci said Rev. Rutayisire will share a few remarks with the audience and explained the reason behind his invitation. “We invited Rev. Rutayisire as an expert in different things, such as writing books. There are some young people who dream of becoming evangelists, and we want him to help us understand how we can strengthen as we continue to grow,’’ he noted. He added that the show will feature a praise and worship session, a message from the pastor, and, of course, comedy performances. The Gen Z Comedy Show takes place every last week of the month and attracts audiences from diverse professions and age groups.
