Al Ahli Tripoli clinched a spot in the 2025 Basketball Africa League (BAL) playoffs with a 104–91 win over Nairobi City Thunder on Thursday, securing the Nile Conference’s first playoff berth. The Libyan champions dominated from the outset, opening with a 6-0 run and extending their lead to 10-2 within the first minute. By halftime, they were up by 15 points and never looked back, ultimately handing Nairobi their second loss to Tripoli in less than a week. Team captain Mohamed Sadi recorded 23 points, 13 rebounds, and six assists, while Caleb Agada added 16 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists, and five steals. With a perfect 4-0 record and two games remaining, Al Ahli Tripoli is the first team to advance from the Nile Conference. Meanwhile, the Thunders dropped to 0–4 and must win their final two games to keep playoff hopes alive.
