They then claimed the Heroes Cup in February and they were crowned champions of the FERWAFA Women's First Division league in May, their second league title in a row. They only missed out on the Peace Cup 2025. Club's president, Jeanine Uwimana, warmly thanked the club’s main sponsor for their gesture. “SKOL started to take care of us from the COVID-19 pandemic season. Later, we were promoted to the First Division. Now, after only three seasons, we are presenting four trophies in one season. We are also happy to have come this far with them,” she said. The club will now represent Rwanda in the CAF Women's Champions League in the 2025/26 season. Uwimana took to the opportunity to request further facilitation in terms of enabling the teams to settle together to facilitate their daily training sessions. Club skipper Dorothee Mukeshimana reflected that the bonus from SKOL would motivate them spiritually and help them recover from recent financial hazards at the end of the 2024/25 season. “It’s true that we struggled due to financial issues, but this bonus will make our families secure and give us motivation to prepare for representing the nation and SKOL. Last time, from our first league trophy, we gained experience; now we are ready to do better,” Mukeshimana said. The club’s coach, Fleury Rudasingwa, explained that this season brought challenges for them since former coach Claude Rwaka was appointed to coach the Rayon Sports men’s club and it had been a tough ride to overcome stiff competition from domestic rivals AS Kigali and Indahangarwa among others. “Apart from the league’s changes, we also faced financial challenges, but after all, we are happy now, hoping that the Rayon Sports administration office and our sponsor ‘SKOL’ are going to help us prepare well ahead of the Champions League.”
