After a three-year hiatus, gospel singer Janvier Muhoza has returned to the music scene with a powerful new release ‘Ubutumwa’ that signals not just a comeback, but a rebirth. It’s been three years since the gospel artiste took a deliberate step back to focus on personal growth and explore life beyond the spotlight. That period of reflection allowed him to dedicate himself to songwriting and reconnecting with his creative core, resulting in what he describes as “a transformative period of reflection and rediscovery.” The inspiration behind Muhoza's new release came during a particularly challenging time in his life. This song was written while I was going through a difficult time. I was complaining about life and the season I was in, he said. It was during prayer that he received what he describes as divine guidance, encouraging him to embrace rather than resist the challenges he was facing. As I was praying, God’s Spirit told me to stop complaining about the 'school' I was going through, because it was preparing me for where he wants to take me, Muhoza explains. This spiritual revelation gave him peace and the courage to do something new, venturing into uncharted musical territory that he had never known or even imagined.” What my lovers can expect is a lot of new music because I won't keep them waiting in silence anymore, he said. Perhaps most exciting for fans is the announcement of a concert planned for next year, which will serve as the launch platform for two full albums. Muhoza believes that the timing of his return couldn't be more perfect. I felt the timing was right. I've grown a lot, wrote many songs, and I now have something real and meaningful to share. The passion for music never left me, he states. What distinguishes this new chapter in Muhoza's career is his evolved sense of purpose. He says he is returning with a clearer vision and a message to share with songs he has crafted during his hiatus intended to uplift, inspire, and speak directly to believers and the body of Christ as a whole.
